The sad side of advertising
The New Year begins with much pizzas and pomp for many. Brands and advertisers nationwide started ranting and raving about New Year celebration a week before the year begins.
While some rejoiced, cheered and displayed merriment, others preferred to take a back seat and decided not the celebrate for obvious reasons.
In solidarity with Peshawar victims, Coca-Cola Pakistan suspended airing of brand advertisements across Pakistan until further notice. Their message on the face book goes “Our thoughts & prayers are with these families during this tragic time.”
One of the most conscientious agencies that took a commendable step to renounce New Year celebration is Spectrum Y&R through their message on the digital front.
