Whatsapp Urdu Is Going to Be Available Very Soon

An Urdu version of Whatsapp will very soon be available in the iOS and Android App stores.

WhatsApp  is the most famous and most widely used app for instant messaging in Pakistan. As Mobile penetration rates are increasing at a steady pace and Whatsapp has more or less replaced SMS. This is the key reason which makes WhatsApp to update according to the need of local users of Android and iOS.

A good news for all the WhatsApp users who prefer to use an Urdu keypad. A whole new Android platform transformed into Urdu. The translation administrator of WhatsApp Ahsan Saeed lately informed about his worthy efforts regarding this field.

”I translated 753 strings and moderated 2089 strings in less than 3 months and made Urdu 18th language in which WhatsApp for Android has been fully translated.

It was impossible without help of volunteer translators who put their efforts just for the love of Urdu.”

This move could increase Whatsapp’s market share in Pakistan and Rural areas could particularly benefit from it.
