Hack, meet new people, get creative, and have a good time. Getting something meaningful done within such a short amount of time can be stressful, but we'd like to encourage everyone to take a break every now and then to relax and enjoy the event.
Teams can be anywhere from two to four members. It is a prerequisite that one member of a team should have a basic knowledge of coding/developing to help prototype the solution.
Note: Companies can also send their teams and enter the competition.
It’s okay to Hack!
Feel free to use APIs, Services and Open Source:
You are encouraged to use 3rd party services, APIs, libraries, and frameworks. Let's face it, we need all the help we can get during the hectic event. There's no need to break DRY rules when there are so many great resources available to all Hackers.
Please note that a prototype of the solution is a must along with the strategy.
What to Bring?
Anything! Bring your laptops, mobile phones, tablets, etc. but above all, your energy and your brains! We’re trying to make this event very hands on, so feel free to bring all your wacky geektronics so that you can participate in all the fun.
During the competition, PAS will have designated people from the digital marketing and brand side that will provide mentoring to the participating teams. This will be important for direction, background information, if required or any other general guidance.
All teams retain full ownership of what they have created during the Hackathon.
Entering the Competition
An ideal team should comprise of 3 to 4 members
that bring in the following expertise:
YES! YOU ARE SO NEEDED. While we can find it, blow it up, make strategy, and make it look pretty, we needs some business plan and idea to present meaningful visualizations. Join up!
We also need beautiful people like you who can develop a strategy that is aligned with the overall objective of your idea and help your team in achieving the competitive advantage.
We need computer cowboys and cowgirls like you to wrangle data into something useful. That means visualization, notification, integration, etc., all in the name of doing something crazy and fantastic.
We need people like you to make everything look amazing, feel intuitive, and have a smooth user experience. The best application in the world that no one can use... isn't much use! You know the drill.
Individual teams or companies can enter the competition alike.
