Pizza Hut introduces “The Dark Restaurant” to raise awareness of disabilities

Have you ever imagined what is it to be blind?

Pizza Hut creates a unique dining experience for the very first time in Pakistan with darkness and visually impaired servers to raise awareness of disabilities.

The designated branch in Clifton, Karachi offers one-of-a-kind experience of dining in a pitch black room which stimulates the sense of smell and taste in the absence of visual cues. In addition it also offers a way to sensitize persons to disability by showing that disability is a result of environment.

Servers at this restaurant are Bilal, Mohsin and Asim, and they are visually impaired call center agents at the Pizza Hut delivery service. For one week only they are taking time out from the call center to serve at the Dark Restaurant.

This idea of “Dark Restaurant” will defiantly enforce your compassion for people with disabilities and help you in understanding that how much these people still got out of life even with the disabilities that they had.
