Digitz Bags 2 Awards at PMAA Dragons of Asia
Karachi-based digital agency, Digitz, made history by clinching 2 awards during its first showing at the coveted PMAA Dragons of Asia 2015 on Wednesday, 30th September. It picked up the Bronze Dragon for Best in Digital, together with a Navy Dragon for Best in Country.
Coke Studio earned Digitz the Bronze Dragon for Best Social Media or Word of Mouth Campaign together with the Navy Dragon for Best Digital Campaign by Country. With this brace of awards, Digitz both cemented its position as the #1 digital agency in the country, and placed with the best agencies in the region.
The Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia is a well-recognized event, with a history spanning more than a decade, and secretariats in India, Malaysia and Australia. It places entries into 6 different categories, namely Red Dragon, Navy Dragon, Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Bronze Dragon, and Back Dragon. Each category is placed across points in the table.
With results being tabulated by independent accountants as always, this years’ judging panel comprised 185 senior marketers from key business categories, tasked with selecting promotional marketing campaigns in 16 categories, as well as the best campaign by country and the best campaign in Asia.
According to the COO, Azam Jalal Khan, the agency is positive about the continuously improving industry standards in the country which he insists will help them match with the top in the world and not only in the region.
“Each Winning Campaign will have to reflect the highest industry standards delivering strategic relevance, originality, creative execution and effectiveness, keeping in mind the diversity and sensitivities of marketing communications throughout Asia”, asserts Azam Jalal.
PMAA is a noted awarding body for the best in digital marketing in Asia headquarter in both India and Malaysia. The participating countries include Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and Pakistan, amongst others.
