‘Breaking News’ Feature in Youtube

YouTube, the video hub of the web where 300 hours of video are uploaded every minute, is considered an important source of information.
It is often the first place to look for when searching live footage of breaking news. Most of these videos are shot using mobile phones.
Given this fact, YouTube is hoping to better leverage its capabilities as a news source.

Google is trying another component to right away refresh its clients with current news. It now has a scrollable ‘Breaking News’on its versatile homepage.
The feature appears as a recommended channel on YouTube’s homepage and as a carousel of cards on the mobile app.
