HBL launches QR payment service in Pakistan
Habib Bank, in collaboration with Visa Inc. recently launched their QR payment system in Pakistan, accelerating the growth of digital payment system in the country.
The service allows customers to pay for products and services using their HBL mobile app, or Konnect app, and the enabled merchants (network of over 10,000 merchants) will instantly receive the payments. This can be seen as a step to enhance digital payments and provides a cashless system with a security of instant digital payments. It has created a competitive advantage for the merchants enabling them to generate EMVCO compliant QR codes, creating partnership opportunities and digitizing payment business solutions.Transactions are processed via Visa’s global network, VisaNet, applying the scale, security, and reliability of Visa to mobile payments.
HBL has launched a series of ads explaining the benefits of the app which brings ease and feasibility to consumers followed after a longer ad developed by BBDO that focused on the millennial target audience who are tech savvy and need everything on their fingertips.
